Working With a Third Party

We manage Google Business Profiles on behalf of the businesses that hire us. Google asks companies who do that to share its guidance with their customers, so here it is, along with what it means in practice with us.

We link to it. We do not copy it onto our page—Google keeps it current and a stale copy would be worse than no copy.

What it means when you work with us

• A Google Business Profile is free. Google does not charge anything to create, claim, verify or maintain one, and you can do all of it yourself at no cost. What you pay us for is our time, our judgment and our work—not the profile, not access to Google, and not any position in search results.
• You own your profile. We are only a Manager on it. We never take ownership and never make ourselves the primary owner.
• You can remove us at any time, for any reason, without telling us why. If you ask, we remove ourselves within seven business days. This does not depend on your account being paid up.
• We ask your written permission before we respond to any review on your behalf.
• We never guarantee placement or ranking, because nobody honestly can.
• We never put keywords in your business name. It breaks Google’s rules and it is one of the fastest ways to get a profile suspended, whatever anyone else tells you.
• We tell you what we changed. Every edit we make to your profile shows up in your monthly report, and anything significant we tell you about when we do it.
